Safe Work by SRR Employees Leads to Another $500 to United Way
AIKEN, S.C. (February 23, 2010) - Robbie Robinson, Savannah River Remediation (SRR) employee, presented a $500 check recently to LaVerne Gold, President of the United Way of the CSRA, in recognition of SRR employees working the month of December without a lost day of work due to an injury. Under a new employee-based safety program, SRR employees select a charity for each month worked without an injury and the company donates $500 to that charity. December was the fifth consecutive month employees have worked safely and the United Way of the CSRA became the fifth United Way agency to receive a $500 check.
