CSRA College Night 2013 Thursday, September 5, 2013 5:00-8:30 pm
James Brown Arena, Augusta, GA
The
CSRA College Night is a cooperative effort among Department of Energy (DOE), Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS) and its partners,
local private schools, business and industry, and local government.
The purpose is to provide an opportunity for students, parents
and guidance counselors to learn about education opportunities
available from accredited colleges and universities. Representatives
from Engineering and Science and Liberal Arts colleges and
universities from across the country provide information to
all interested participants. In addition, professional and
technical societies also attend. The evening is concluded
with scholarship drawings. This program is for high school
level students, parents and area educators.

The purpose of
the event is to inform CSRA high school students (primarily
11th and 12th graders) and their parents of college education
opportunities across the United States. The event originated
in 1993 as the Engineering College Night for ABET Accredited
Engineering Colleges and Universities only. In 1994, Engineering
College Night was changed to CSRA College Night. A partnership
was formed with eight independent schools in Augusta, GA (Liberal
Arts College Night) to offer a joint fair.
